After claiming the OSL Division 1 title in May of 2023, the men’s first team had another successful season this year as they finished 10th in the OSL Prem. A young squad with plenty of ability, they’ll be looking to push on in the 2024/25 campaign as Ben Snellgrove takes over as manager.

Brief History

After the committee and management of Adam Cowling & Simon Godfrey successfully managed to return the club to Saturday football back in 2012, the club have had huge success given their stature. By far one of the smallest catchment areas in the county, Chalgrove have held their own for near on 15 years in Oxfordshire’s top divisions.

Cowling guided the Sky Blues to second place and promotion in the 2013/14 season, guiding the club to Oxfordshire’s top level at the first time of asking. Whilst relegation followed five years later in 2019, a new, young Chalgrove side took time to adapt in OSL Division One under the management of Trevor Croxford and Tony Snellgrove.

Three seasons of progress saw the club finish 8th, 6th and then 4th, before the 2022/23 campaign brought us our biggest success yet. Division One title winners with the most wins, most goals scored and fewest conceded, was met with great cup runs. Our first ever title stole the show, but over 250 supporters backed the boys at Thame Utd as the club reached the Quarter Finals of The Presidents Cup for the first time in their history.

The club are looking to push on next season and claim their highest ever points tally at this level, surpassing the effort in 2016/17.

New players are always welcome, for further details on how to join the club, please contact Ben on 07802586293.
